The Australian Taxation Reform Group
Inc.
A non party political, non profit, community based
organization.
About us
The Australian Taxation Reform Group Inc. (ATRG) is registered under
Victorian Associations Law.
Under this law incorporated non-profit associations run by volunteers are officially registered and have a recognized status at law. Membership of the ATRG is drawn from a wide cross-section of people
nationwide who have independently realised that Australia's taxation system is
not just the collection of revenue to provide public services but is a social
engineering tool used by bureaucrats and politicians. This is done by using
taxation to force different groups such as smokers, drinkers or car drivers, to
change their behaviour by imposing taxes that only affect the particular group.
This central control of individual lives goes against the basic instincts of
most Australians.
The object of the campaign for a Debit Tax is to create a fair taxation
system to properly provide for the services everyone agrees with, properly
funded education, fully equipped widely available health care, safe adequate
roads, and where applicable efficient and economic public transport and defence
services to serve the nation. We aim to give tax payers the information they need to make their own informed decision regarding the alternative taxation system, be fair and equitable, electronic and paperless debit tax. If you like the debit tax concept of taxation you can support the ATRG by informing others of the ATRG website. This can be done by handing out literature (either downloaded or ask for some to be sent to you) by talking to your friends and associates or via your own email. To do so click here.
The ATRG has no party affiliations and seeks only a system which will
benefit the population as a whole.
